Malaysia Panthers U12 Begin Supermokh Cup Campaign in Style

The opening day of the SuperMokh Cup 2015 saw a total of 18 games played across 4 different venues under two categories; the Under-12s and the Under-13s.

The Under-12 category featured Malaysia Panthers against Thailand’s Chonburi FC in Field E at the National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil. The Panthers almost immediately drew first blood, their first goal registered in the 2nd viagra rebates minute when defender Muhammad Haziq Ridhwan came through to bump the ball into Chonburi’s net. As the game wore on however, it was Chonburi FC’s devilish midfielder Thanakorn Tanamongkolsiri who caught the eye, his through pass to Thanacai Nathanakool seeing his captain in with a great chance that he somehow failed to capitalise on. Temperatures were slowly rising not only off the field, but on it as well when the Panthers had to give away two yellow cards, Muhammad Farhan and Aiyubi Solahudin just a minute later as Chonburi FC held the upper hand for a long time. Cometh the hour, however, come the man, as Muhammad Haziq Ridhwan took advantage of a lapse in the Chonburi FC defence to shoot his second goal of the game into an empty unguarded net. 2-0 to the Panthers and that was how it stayed to the very end.

The very same field later saw Malaysia Cougars besting PSW Futera in the opening match of the Under-13 category. Malaysia Cougars’ goals arrived via their captain, Alias Alan and Luqman Hakim. However, 3 opening day wins out of 3 for a Malaysian team failed to happen today, Malaysia Panthers having to settle for a draw after being kept at bay by Geo Je Dong Bu Middle School in their Group A encounter.

In National Sports Complex Shah Alam Panasonic however, was the result that rocked SuperMokh Cup 2015 to its foundation; as English club Manchester City fell to their opponents from Japan, Kashiwa Reysol 0-1 in a match they totally dominated. There was no coming back from Sohki Tamura’s opener for Kashiwa Reysol and that was how the scoreboard stayed till the final whistle sounded.
